**About The Role**:
The Thomas Hardye School is seeking to appointment a Kitchen Assistant to support our busy school canteen between 9am and 3pm two days per week. The successful applicant will assist with preparation, cooking and serving of food. The role will also involve cleaning and tidying of the kitchen and serving area.

You will work under the direct supervision of the School Catering Manager as well as a small team of cooks and assistant cooks.

We require:

- A team player who is happy to support different colleagues as required.
- Someone who can demonstrate attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety procedures is desirable.
- Experience working in a school environment would be an advantage.

We can offer:

- A friendly and supportive working environment.
- The opportunity to build on existing skills and knowledge.
- The possibility of overtime if desired.

- This role is UK- based and your right to work will need to be established as part of the appointment process._
- The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements. The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year._
