Tutor - Mobile Outreach

About the role
This is an exciting new role instructing a variety of Outdoor Education sessions, based around history, geography and biology. The position required a flexible working approach as no two days or weeks will be the same. Based from Burwell House but going throughout Cambridgeshire including venues at Nene Valley Railway and Sacrewell Farm the courses are aimed at primary aged children and have until recently been successfully run from Cambridgeshire County Councils Stibbington Centre.

What will you be doing?
Working both with a team and independently to develop, prepare and deliver a variety of day courses in different locations around the region. You may be dressed as a Land girl talking about evacuees one day, then the next be standing in a stream finding the living creatures within or going on a bear hunt with year 2 children. You will be expected to help out with all aspects of the running of the courses and be prepared for all eventualities.

About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic instructor or teacher with knowledge of the curriculum and a love of the outdoors. Someone who communicates well with children and adults who can work as part of a team and has excellent organisation and time management skills. We need someone who is happy to problem solve and can handle any situation and happy to work in unfamiliar settings across the region.
