**About us**

We have a number of exciting opportunities for **Recovery Coordinators** to work in the north east's prison services.

This position is to cover a long term sickness within an adult prison' institute service in Northumberland near Acklington, Morpeth.

**To be considered for this role, you MUST have Prison Clearance. If you don't have prison clearance, this can take up to 3 months to receive.**

**All work will be based on site. 37hr week Mon-Fri 8.30-4.30**

**You will have achieved suitable qualifications to be considered. Examples of these are**:
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or above or equivalent) or willing to work towards this

Relevant professional qualifications e.g. addiction studies, counselling, social work, therapeutic qualification.

**You will have knowledge of**:
Complex needs experienced by those with a history of substance misuse.

Ability to assess the complex needs of service users.

An understanding of and ability to implement a number of interventions, such as, MI, PSIs, CBT and ITEP.

Ability to manage a high caseload effectively.

Demonstrate respect equality and diversity.

Comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding.

**The shifts are on Mon - Fri 8.30-4.30.**

**The rate is £17.00 per hour, weekly pay.**

We are looking for an experienced Prison Recovery Coordinator to join our team. Manage a caseload of service users: You will oversee and administer a caseload of service users, ensuring effective implementation and continuous review of recovery plans and treatment. This will involve close collaboration with staff members, as well as engaging with family members and significant others when appropriate

**Responsibilities**:

- Assess and evaluate the needs of clients and develop individualised plans of care.
- Carry out triage/screening assessments and comprehensive assessments with service users
- Identify and prevent potential harm to service users and others by following local and organisational safeguarding guidelines, including referral to and enagagement with relevant safeguarding authorities
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure successful outcomes for clients.
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed.

In summary, as a Prison Recovery Coordinator, your role will involve managing a caseload, conducting assessments, implementing brief interventions, collaborating with partner agencies, working within a multi-disciplinary team, and safeguarding the well-being of service users by following relevant guidelines and protocols.

**Experience**:

- Prison Recovery Coordinator: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Prison Clearance (required) - can be applied for if you don't already have it.
