We have an exciting career opportunity available with B2B media business to join their Awards team as an Awards Executive and Administrator. The focus of the Awards Executive and Administrator is to assist with the organisation and implementation of the company’s high profile Awards portfolio. You will be supporting the Head of Awards Manager with both events management and administration and together you will deliver an exciting portfolio of 7 UK based awards ceremonies. The role has lots of potential to swiftly develop into an Event Manager position.
For this role, we are looking to talk with a positive and driven graduate with:
- Excellent admin skills gained in an office environment
- Real attention to detail
- Experience in arranging / coordinator business events or awards would be ideal
- A genuine interest to work in the Awards team
- Exceptional communication skills
This events role offers the opportunity to have ownership of aspects of the awards programme, support supplier and budget management plus take responsibility for a variety of administration tasks.
Communication tasks are varied and include; liaising with the internal sales, marketing and design teams, communicating with sponsors and the event attendees plus liaising and communicating with venues.
Key skills and experience required:
- Experience in awards operations would be advantageous
- Passion to work in the awards industry
- Excellent administration skills gained in an office environment
- Highly organised nature with meticulous attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to liaise confidently at all levels
- Proactive, forward thinking problem solver
- Self-motivated, team player
- IT literate with solid knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Google Sheets
- Reliable, hard working and ambitious
- Flexible nature - happy to work outside office hours when required
