Our client is a global independent power producer who generates renewable energy from wind, solar, hydro, biomass and storage projects.
They are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to support their growing portfolio of renewable energy projects in the UK.
You will be responsible for subcontractor tender processes & construction cost management. The role will also assist in the building of construction project budgets, producing reports on a timely basis and supporting internal EPC & Development teams.
The client can offer flexible home working alongside weekly visits to their offices in London, Reading or Gloucester.

**Responsibilities**:

- Identifying & managing the tender process for suppliers & subcontractors and liaising with the construction team to assist in final selections.
- Lead the administration of project budget and cost plan.
- Regular cost reporting on project budget status to senior management.
- Processing payment claims from construction/supplier partners.
- Issuing of payment certificates to sub-contractors.
- Following up paperwork to ensure correct data is gathered and assisting the procurement and wider project team on any ad-hoc duties as required.
- The ability to provide commercial support combined with administration experience within a large project team.
- Building relationships with 3rd parties
- Tracking spend, administering budgets across multiple projects to support cost-effective construction & ensuring spend is kept within budget throughout the construction phase;
- Attending site to review subcontractor work-packages and variations.
- Handle requests, quotes, proposals and tenders.
- Participate in the selection and negotiation with suppliers and participate in the implementation of contracts.
- Work with the Project Managers to ensure the procurement of all portfolios.

**Requirements**:

- Educated to Degree level.
- 2-5 years of experience in Contract management / Procurement in Engineering / EPC sector
- Experience in the procurement of equipment in the utility-scale solar industry (desirable)
- MS Office expertise.
- Full UK Driving License.

**Location**: Hybrid + travel to various office and client visits
