**WRc**, part of the **RSK Group** is currently looking to appoint a **Principal/Senior Consultant - Nature-Based Solutions, Water and Environment** in **Swindon** on **permanent hybrid basis.**

**Are you passionate about Nature-Based Solutions / Constructed Wetlands as a sustainable and resilient process for the treatment / enhanced treatment of sewage, treated secondary effluents, industrial effluents, mine waters, and/or as part of a holistic catchment-based treatment strategy?**

The role requires engagement with internal and external stakeholders to develop (with support from others) a Nature-Based Solutions strategy for the Water and Environment - Treatment team. The role also provides an opportunity to develop a Nature-Based Solutions value proposition and involvement in sales related and marketing activities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide technical support for consultancy projects, taking a technical lead in Nature-Based Solutions tasks and solution delivery.
- Liaise with clients and other stakeholders to understand their needs, identify opportunities, and support the development of proposals.
- Contribute to wider service offerings arising from tender opportunities, client enquiries, and client engagement.
- Undertake a diverse range of work activities including desk-based research, regulatory guidance, site visits, laboratory work, field trials, data analysis, modelling, conceptual design, presentations, report writing, and implementation plans.

**Person Specification**:

- Minimum of a first degree in related scientific or engineering field.
- Second degree in a related discipline desirable.
- Individual member of the Constructed Wetlands Association (CWA) or similar body would be advantageous.
- Significant experience in the water sector with a demonstrable interest, passion, and knowledge of Nature-Based Solutions / Constructed Wetlands.
- Driven, self-starter with proven skills in client networking, proposal and report writing.
- Able to inspire, lead, and motivate. Willing to take ownership of issues and seek team participation to achieve best solutions.
- Ability to integrate well into a team, whilst having initiative to work alone.
- Full Clean UK Driving Licence.

**Salary and Benefits**:

- Up to £55,000 per annum depending on experience.
