Goods Inward Inspector

Adept are proud to be working with a global metal manufacturer who provide precision components into various industries. They are currently seeking an Goods Inward Inspector to join their team.

**Position Overview**: As a Goods Inward Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting incoming goods and materials to ensure they comply with established quality standards and specifications. Your attention to detail and ability to identify any defects or discrepancies will be vital in maintaining the integrity of the products and ensuring customer satisfaction.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Receive and verify incoming shipments of goods and materials.
- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming goods to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Perform visual inspections, measurements, and tests on samples from each incoming batch.
- Identify and document any defects, damages, or non-conformities.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department and suppliers to address any quality issues.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare inspection reports.
- Communicate inspection results and findings
- Follow established safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.

**Requirements**:

- Engineering qualification such as City and Guilds etc.
- Proven experience as a goods inward inspector within an Engineering environment
- Solid understanding of quality control principles and practices.
- Familiarity with inspection tools, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instruments.
- Ability to interpret Engineering Drawings and Specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and strong observational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Working knowledge of BS EN ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
