We are looking for a new Plant Fitter/Plant Engineer to join a growing plant hire company based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
This companies Plant hire fleet is made up of modern compact construction machines and attachments and we continue to invest in new equipment. The role is crucial to the business to ensure we maintain the fleet, support our customers purchases and the in / out of daily plant hire.
Plant Fitter responsibilities:

- Inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of plant hire equipment in the depot
- Work directly with other engineers in the depot and liaising regularly with drivers and the hire desk team to ensure repairs and maintenance of plant equipment is prioritised effectively
- Call out and field-based support where applicable
- Service and maintenance of customer machines

What you’ll need for this Plant Fitter role;
- Proven ability to test and repair plant equipment to the highest standard, ideally gained within the hire industry or similar
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds equivalent in a relevant discipline
- Technical/engineering background is desirable
- Flexible attitude
- Good communication skills
- Can do attitude
