**Job Title**:Gate Checker

**Shift**:3-week rotating shift. Week 1: 7am to 3pm, Week 2: 11pm to 3pm, Week 3: 3pm to 11pm

Overall responsibility for physically checking all inbound/outbound deliveries in terms of loading accuracy, product quality and integrity. Counts truck inventory and keeps accurate records of finished goods transported out of the Warehouse for sales delivery or distribution to another warehouse. Receives finished goods into inventory and maintains appropriate records.

This position often operates independently with mínimal supervision.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Check in - register trucks arrival for loading/unloading.
- Physical check of vehicles to ensure they meet required standard for transportation.
- Liaising with 3rd party hauliers and drivers.
- Yard Management in collaboration with Warehouse colleagues to ensure loads are shipped/tipped on time.
- Generate all relevant paperwork for shipping and ensure accurate records are maintained.
- Good level of customer service, demonstrate good communication and problem solving.
- Collaborate with customer to provide timely and accurate response to queries.
- Use SAP to maintain accurate records.
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
- Ensure adherence to audit standards. Ensure adherence to Health and Safety standards.

**Essential Criteria**
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
- 1-2 years warehouse experience - Working in a warehousing environment (e. g., understanding SKU configuration, understanding the number of cases on pallets and the number of pallets on rows, operating consistently with safety standards, understanding pick aisles and warehouse layout, etc.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate a passion for quality, efficiency and excellent customer service.
- Capability to work as part of a team, cross functionally and achieve results in relation to operational needs.
- Competent computer skills in general PC navigation, MS Word, Excel.
- A self
- starter & ability to use initiative to solve problems
- Flexible and able to respond positively and reliably to internal and external customer requirements
- Hands on approach and to be able to accept change where necessary.
- Driven by continual improvement and high personal standards. To be responsible for the health and safety of themselves and other colleagues by adhering to safe working practice.

**Desirable Criteria**
- Stock Counting experience (e. g., tracking in-bound/out-bound inventory using basic mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, etc.)
- Forklift driving experience. Advanced SAP skills - ability to interrogate SAP -minimum 2 years’ experience
