This exciting new role of Failsafe Officer will be responsible for undertaking the specific failsafe duties within the ophthalmology department.
- Monitor patients referred into the Ophthalmology service
- Assist and track long waiting patients in line with the Access Policy
- Failsafe processes to minimise risks in the diabetic screening pathway
- To ensure patients move seamlessly and safely through the ophthalmology pathway
- Maintain strict confidentiality in respect of clients, correspondence and communication associated with duties
