**Maintenance Assistant**

This role will support the provision and maintenance of a quality environment, ensuring that facilities are clean, safe and well prepared, equipment is serviceable and properly handled and health and safety and hygiene standards are maintained throughout, in accordance with the organisation’s standards and to provide an excellent client experience.

The post holder will assume other duties relevant to the post as reasonably assigned by the Facilities Manager including participation in the interchange of duties to cover annual leave, sickness absences etc.

The post holder will report to the Facilities Manager and work as part of a small team. They will have the opportunity to develop their skills through learning on the job and specialist training where felt appropriate to their skillset.

Must have full clean driving licence.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

1. Provide support and assistance to the Maintenance team and undertake minor maintenance tasks within a level of competency.

2. Undertake regular checks and routine inspections on equipment in conjunction with the maintenance team.

3. Assist the Maintenance Team in undertaking repair and minor works associated with the environment & activity.

4. Event and room set up for training and meetings.

5. Assist in maintaining all lights, emptying external bins, ashtrays, litter picking and assisting in security of building.

6. Use computerised system to manage and log jobs.

7. Routine maintenance of inside swimming pool.

8. Assisting housekeeping team with specialist cleaning duties (such as at high level, cleaning of room fans etc).

9. Collect post from different buildings on site and take to Post Office daily.

10. Collection/Delivery of files, food, equipment between buildings on site.

11. Collecting medication from local chemist.

12. Undertaking appropriate in-house or online training required for job e.g. manual handling, use of equipment, working at heights etc.

13. Other roles associated with maintenance/garden/housekeeping in order to maintain a safe, clean and well-maintained environment for the benefit of our staff and clients.

1. Full clean driving licence required.

2. Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.

3. Ability to use computer system to log work.

4. Ability to respond to common queries or complaints from clients, coworkers, and/or supervisor.

5. Willingness to flex hours to support business needs

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 35 per week

**Salary**: From £10.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Performance bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Windsor: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
