Peterborough City Council are looking to recruit a Head of Strategic Asset Management to lead a small team responsible for developing, commissioning and delivery of the Council’s Asset Management Strategies. The Head of Strategic Asset Management is there to ensure that the Council makes the best use of its assets and supports the wider regeneration and growth of the City including existing and future regeneration projects. The role ensures the Council has a land and buildings portfolio that is fit for purpose, cost effective and enables service departments to deliver their existing and future services in the most effective way.

The Council has a varied stock of properties ranging from some of the newest buildings in the City to some of the oldest. Our portfolio comprises several hundred properties, offices, land, depots, car parks, community assets etc.

The Head of Strategic Asset Management will provide strategic direction, leadership, and management of the Council’s Asset Management planning process. The role will also lead on the Commissioning and Delivery of the Capital Programme insofar that it relates to land and property and will work closely with key stakeholders including the Place and Economy team in delivering on key projects and providing specialist advice to act as an enabler for regeneration.

The role will report to the Service Director for Commercial, Property and Asset Management and be located from our main offices in the City Centre, but we operate a hybrid approach and you will find yourself working from home, the office and other sites on a regular basis. Don’t expect two days to be the same

Salary details:
£73,270 - £84,516 per annum
