Plymouth Plants Galore Retail Store

Due to expansion our £12 million garden plant nursery business based at Plymouth requires full time retail store & payment supervisors.

**The role will include the following responsibilities**:

- Retail store administration and payment area management - fully trained and confident to deal with all daily retail store administration issues in relation to the operation of our massive retail garden plant supermarket including HR, head office liaison, policies, and procedures.
- Training to supervise payment area staff, garden sundries merchandising and re-ordering and garden plant merchandising and re-ordering.
- Office administration reporting to our head office - liaising on all day to day issues in relation to the running of a busy £3 million pound retail store.

**Skills and commitment required**:

- Commitment to a long term career in commercial horticulture which will include your commitment to assist with weekend working as part of a rota - regular weekend cover would be required.
- Commitment to work “hands on” with physical working including lifting and carrying and organsing daily workload as part of a team.
- A strong interest and understanding of daily and weekly targets.
- Method of regular transport as our nursery is located away from regular bus routes
- Previous horticultural experience would be advantage but not essential.
- We can teach you everything, but you need to want a long term career and have the right level of commitment and hands on working attitude and desire to succeed.

**Our Renumeration Package on Offer**
- Starting hourly wage of £12 to £14 per hour including pension contribution
- Training available on a wide range of key horticultural skills
- Opportunity to increase hourly pay on progressive basis with regular pay reviews - options to increase to £25k to £30k per year at management level within 2 years
- Options to join our profit share management scheme by invitation which shares out a large lump sum % of profits each year to key management team.
- Minimum 35 hour week increasing to 45 hours or more during peak season - opportunity to increase annual pay if you work more
- 28 days holiday
- We will liaise with you and arrange interviews within the next few days

**Salary**: £13.00-£15.00 per hour

- Plymstock, Devon: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
