Brockwood Park School is a small, friendly, international boarding school and we are looking to appoint a full-time School Secretary for an immediate start. This an extremely varied and busy role in a small office where no two days are the same. We are seeking a good all-rounder: someone with excellent administration skills, great at multi-tasking, can work on their own initiative and with a real ‘can-do’ attitude. The position is full-time, 52 weeks per year with 5.6 weeks holiday.

**Desirable**:

- Previous experience of working in a school environment
- Experience of compliance documentation

**Role**:

- Managing school admin in dealing with students, staff, parents and other visitors
- Completing the weekly Attendance Register, a key area of compliance relating to school inspections
- Main point of contact for the School, meeting and greeting visitors, answering the main School phone, taking messages, transferring calls etc
- Handling communication on behalf of the Principal/Bursar including daily maintenance of digital diary, arranging/accepting meetings and telephone calls - maintaining confidentially and privacy at all times in respect of these
- Required admin support to the Curriculum team including: Typing reports, formatting reports and sending reports (bi-annual); certificate photocopying, filing and sending; signing for exam papers and recording details in official log
- Required admin support to Recruitment Manager
- Required support for School Inspections
- Manging the distribution of incoming and outgoing post
- Ensuring appropriate levels of office supplies are maintained including stationery and office equipment
- Assisting with School Open Morning events (3 Saturdays per year)
- Ensuring organisation strategies regarding rules and regulations are followed
- Assisting in the cutting of waste and promotion of excellence in relation to the organisations environmental impact
- Other tasks as reasonably expected to ensure the smooth running and operation of the admin function at Brockwood Park.
