Mowing & Landscape Operative

We have a vacancy for a versatile operative to work in the **Clean and Green Service** which cares for the Mowing & Landscape work within the district. The position is based at **Northwood Depot, Darley Dale, DE4 2LF.**

The operative will undertake a broad range of green space and public realm maintenance and development work in accordance with best practice and specified standards set by the Council. Examples include highway verge mowing, soft landscaping, amenity grass maintenance, shrub bed maintenance, fine turf maintenance. The operative will be able to utilise a range of vehicles, plant and equipment, some of which will be of a specialist nature.

The post includes:

- 26 days leave per year plus bank holidays, rising 30 days after 5 years’ service
- Enrolment into the Local Government pension scheme
- Optional overtime when available
- Discounted leisure centre membership fees
