Our client has an exciting opportunity to join their team as a **Project Management Office Lead**. You will join on a **full-time, permanent basis**, and will be based in **Canterbury.** In return, you will receive a competitive salary of **circa £55,000 per annum.**

**About the role**:
The **Project Management Office Lead **will be responsible for providing assurance around delivery of performance metrics across all aspects of the companys Portfolio with particular focus on Cost, Quality, Time and Risk. This role will alsolead on implementing processes and governance to align with the end to end planning and delivery of projects and programmes, from initial feasibility through to design, financial approval, delivery and completion.

**Your responsibilities as the Project Management Office Lead will include**:

- Managing the Project Management Offices resources ensuring that projects/programmes are appropriately resourced
- Developing and ensuring the successful implementation of the PMO’s strategy
- Ensuring the organisation is focussing on projects that align to business strategy
- Challenging project managers to ensure reports are accurate
- Assisting programme/project managers with planning
- Ensuring the effective implementation of the change control process
- Assisting in creation of Project Initiation Documentation (PID) for each project/programme
- Creating a project/programme reporting structure from project up to board level
- Embedding project/programme governance into the organisation
- Ensuring Lessons Learned are captured and utilised on future projects/programmes
- Enabling departments through training and assistance to deliver their own small projects
- Overseeing and coordinating the delivery of successful projects, products and other strategic initiatives, and overseeing the implementation of appropriate governance for each programme/project
- Making recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team for project/programme prioritisation
- Ensuring projects are delivered within agreed budgets,
- Autonomously managing intricacies in programmes ensuring dependencies are realised
- Delivering projects/programmes across at organisational level with multiple senior stakeholders
- Working autonomously to ensure prioritisation is effectively implemented and make recommendations to board level
- Owning a project budget of approximately £500,000, this will need to be defined by the PMO Lead upon scoping

**What our client are looking for in their ideal Project Management Office Lead**:

- A certificate in either Prince2, Agile, MSP, PMP
- Degree Educated and/or 5 year’s experience in project management
- Experience in both waterfall and agile project delivery
- 5+ years in project management
- Experience of working on organisational change projects
