You should be passionate about students having access to high quality education, regardless of their background, be a positive presence in classrooms and forge healthy working relationships with students and staff. You should be willing to be creative while delivering new concepts to students and should be able to contribute ideas to weekly team meetings on the best strategies to support students to attend, achieve and progress.

Education & Training
- Degree or equivalent in Chemistry related discipline
- A relevant teaching qualification or working towards this qualification, or if appointed, to achieve within an agreed timescale.
- GCSE 9-5 (A*- C) or nationally recognised level 2 qualification in Maths or equivalent. (e.g. CSE 1, O Level A - C) or prepared to pass a test prior to interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale.
- GCSE 9-5 (A*- C) or nationally recognised level 2 qualification in English or equivalent. (e.g. CSE 1, O Level A - C) or prepared to pass a test prior to interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale.

Experience
- Proven experience and evidence of successful teaching.
- Experience of being a pastoral/form tutor (16-19)
- Academic or industrial or commercial experience in an area relevant to the programmes.
- Experience of using Microsoft Teams, interactive whiteboards, Moodle and using digital resources to enhance learning and teaching.
- Experience of delivering Further and/ or Higher Education including assessment with awarding organisations
- Ability to utilise Information Technology and Information, Learning and Technology both within learning and for administrative purposes.
