**Role**

The primary function of the GTM Strategy & Specialization organization is to unify, advance and expand the value of the Splunk portfolio by providing deep technical and domain expertise to incubate new and emerging Security, IT and DevOps use-cases and solutions. The Global Strategists are the ‘black belt’ technical and deep security experts at Splunk. Their purpose is to identify and incubate emerging and strategic use-cases and solutions that will unify, advance and expand the value of security use-cases for our customers. Over time, Global Strategists will transition successful incubation-stage use-cases and solutions into in-theater Sales Engineer and Solution Architect competencies and roles, while they will continue to focus on what’s new and what’s next to stay ahead of the customer, market and technology.

As the EMEA theater leader for the Global Security Strategists, you will lead a small team of technical-leaning and “black belts” in security that will reside in and work closely with theater partners, but report up through the Global organization. You will be responsible for assisting your in-theater partners in developing theater-specific GTM goals, strategy, sales plays, campaigns adoption and success metrics for incubation-stage security use-cases and solutions. You will also contribute to the global responsibilities of the organization to help evangelize and advance the Splunk Security brand, product and GTM strategy.

Both the global and theater aspects of your role will require you to interface cross-functionally at both theater and global levels for sales, technical sales, customer success, partners, product marketing and product management.

**Responsibilities**:
**Global**
- Partner with the in-theater Security Advisor Leader and other sales and technical sales leadership to set targets and goals and refine the global Value Zones, Sales Plays, Campaigns and Product Roadmap to a theater-specific strategy to attain the theater-specific targets for security.
- Develop and refine emerging security use-cases for Splunk products that reflect priority customer challenges, market observations, the evolving threat landscape and unique business opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional tiger teams to develop and test new maturity models, white papers, programs, workshops, demos, POVs and thought leadership content to showcase and speed up adoption of emerging information security use-cases and solutions.
- Contribute observations and data-driven insights to the WBR, Theater QBRs, Annual Planning and other strategic security business reporting forums.
- Evangelize Splunk Security vision, strategy and roadmap at industry events and with global customers and partners.
- Identify, attract and mentor security talent at Splunk as we look to continue to increase and expand the profile of security.

**Theater**:

- Develop and align theater-specific sales plays, enablement content, account targeting strategies and channel strategies for incubation-stage use-cases and solutions with the in-theater Security Product Advisor Leader and other senior Sales and Technical Sales Leadership.
- Contribute to and participate in EBCs, roundtables and workshops with high-value customers to support the land and expansion of emerging use-cases and solutions.
- Build relationships across the sales, marketing and technical sales leadership across the theater to address blockers, create opportunity and drive strong connectivity for your team and the broader security business within your theater.
- Develop and deliver data-driven insights to share across the Strategist organization, PM, and PMM around breakthroughs in traction, adoption trends, emerging gaps and newfound opportunities to engage customers and accelerate adoption of incubation-stage security use-cases and solutions.

**Qualifications**:

- 10+ years of sales, technical sales, product or practitioner experience in the security industry.
- Strong executive level presence and polish both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams tasked with full lifecycle support.
- Up-to-date understanding of current trends in the security market.
