We are looking for a part time sales assistant to join our amazing team in Lemon Street Market, Truro to cover maternity leave and the possibility of part time hours moving forward.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, self motivated, great with customers, has retail experience, can work alone or as part of a team, strong (refilling is a heavy old job) hardworking, flexible, reliable, friendly and patient.

The position is part time 3-4 days a week 9am-4:30-5. The position is due to start Middle of April but happy to bring in before if wanting to cover holiday shifts and weekend cover till the position starts properly.

Accountabilities
- To maximise sales
- To understand, meet and exceed customers’ expectations of service
- To motivate and encourage the people around you
- Accurately handle payment transactions - Cash and card
- Ensure stock levels are in line with office software
- Updating and merchandising the store to optimise sales, space management and presentation of the product range
- Maintain and report on equipment and condition of store - Daily checklist
- Ensure that the stock and cleanliness standards are upheld - Daily checklist
- Attend meetings if required
- Attend learning and development workshops if required
- Ensure security of stock through awareness
- Maintain professional communication at all time
- Adhere to uniform guidelines
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge regarding the food types, allergens, how they can be used/cooked and product knowledge regarding the non-food items.
