Claranet Cyber Security are looking to recruit an experienced Cyber Security Engineer.

The purpose of this role is to allow the Managed Security Services Practice to scale to meet the demands of the market. Claranet Cyber Security is growing rapidly and key to success is the technical capability with which we can meet our customer needs.

Operating within the Managed Security Services Practice, you will be expected to understand the existing portfolio including Managed Detection and Response, Endpoint Detection and Response and XDR.
As we grow and embrace new technologies, your knowledge and experience will be developed into additional security products & services.

**The key responsibilities of this role include**:

- Providing consultancy services encompassing solution design, system deployments & system reviews.
- Completing technical pre-sales activities such as scoping, tender response documentation, the creation and delivery of webinars, managed services demo’s & customer facing bid presentations.
- Contributing towards the training and development of junior engineers and the wider team.

**Other responsibilities include**:

- Being an escalation point for junior engineers providing help and guidance
- Working with sales executives throughout the sales cycle: opportunity identification, sales meetings, product/service demonstrations, POCs, scoping meetings (understanding of the sales process)
- Partake in information gathering workshops, technical design reviews, integrations, testing, and document preparation for customers
- Creation & delivery of technical presentations to technical and non-technical audiences
- Installation and configuration of the technologies included within our portfolio
- Manage customer issues through to resolution
- Contribute to the internal technical support playbooks
- Support innovation and development of the products and services

**About You**

**Essential:
(Hands on experience with AT&T’s "Alien Vault" USM Anywhere solution would be highly advantageous although not essential).
- A strong and proven background supporting / troubleshooting / installing and providing consultancy for cyber security solutions
- Hands on knowledge of Security related products and technologies (e.g. SIEM/Log Management solutions, NIDS / EDR, Incident Response, etc.)
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure
- Working knowledge of routing principles and networking architecture, protocols and services
- Passion for technology and an interest in learning new information and technical concepts
- Ability to effectively present solutions via live presentations and remote webinars
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Willingness to travel
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience in a range of technologies or IT delivery
- Demonstrable commitment to on-going personal development
- 3 years’ experience working with SIEM technologies
- Experience working with Amazon AWS environments.
