Warehouse & Yard Operative

We currently have a vacancy for a newly created Warehouse/Yard Person role.

The role will involve the daily running of the warehouse, maintaining stock levels, checking in deliveries, and ensuring that parts/spares are available for the engineers.

Keeping the workshop tidy, together with maintaining the tidiness of the yard.

Liaison with the office to ensure parts are ordered in a timely manner and are available in good time for the engineers.

Ensuring that report sheets are available for the engineers and all information on previous visits - identifying if any additional parts/work are required.

Be able to identify engineering parts and monitor and control stock - training will be given

There may be occasional requirements to make deliveries and collect parts.

Keep the yard clean and tidy. Maintain the general overall appearance of the external area.

Manage the skips on site, ensuring that materials are correctly disposed of, in the appropriate skips to maximise recycling possibilities.

Good verbal and written communication skills to enable liaison with the Engineers and Office Staff to ensure parts are ordered and available in a timely and efficient manner

The position is full-time (8.00 - 4.30 Monday - Friday) (after a 3 month trial period)

The role will report directly to the Service Manager.

**Requirements**:
A full driving licence.

Methodical and organised and able to work on own initiative.

Computer literate

Good listener and team player.

**Salary**: £9.90-£11.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Licence/Certification:

- driving licence (required)
