**Support Worker - ISF Support**

Location**:The London Borough of Bexley**

Salary**:£10.20ph**

Hours**:Flexible hours: 0 - 20 hours per week. Mon - Fri and occasional weekends**

Ambient have a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to join a supportive and encouraging organisation. Ambient is looking for a **ISF Support Worker**, who will make a **difference in our service users’ lives.**

This is an **exciting**new service** which is expanding so successful applicants should be willing to complete some of their hours in our other services **within Bexley** whilst we take on new clients. We will aim to match people to one or two people and support can range **from 2 - 6 hours per day so there is a lot of flexibility**

**What is an Individual Service Fund**: (ISF) is a personal budget that is held by an organisation which has been nominated by or on behalf of the person and can be used to meet some or all the outcomes that have been identified as part of a Care Actassessment as directed by the person.

**Ambient have existing ISF services** and are also looking to grow these services with the overall aim of the service is to improve choice, control, independence, and wellbeing for Clients.

**Our ISF Support Worker’s duties will be**:

- Aim to enable people to live active lives in the community
- Maintain and support independence
- Medication management
- Ensure safety of people without and avoiding the need for supported accommodation or residential care.
- Support with their shopping and assisting with budgeting
- Building/maintaining relationship with friends and family of our residents
- Household tasks including cooking, cleaning, and laundry

- Empathy, caring and sensitivity to the needs of others
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Computer Literate
- Car driver desirable but not essential
