An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join the Administration Team in the Orthotics Department at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust

The administrator will prominently work within its busy Orthotics department at with a friendly team of administrators, clinicians and also a manufacturing facility at Stanmore including workshops.

The post holder will be required to liaise with a clinical and non-clinical staff to facilitate the effective and efficient management of waiting lists and appointment booking systems.

This post holder will be required to work at both Stanmore and Bolsover Street Sites

The main Orthotics Department is located on the hospital site at Stanmore. There may be the opportunity to crossover with in the RNOH therapies departments.

Applicants should have good written and spoken English, be able to work productively within a team setting and demonstrate initiative. Sound administration/clerical skills would be desirable. You should be polite & professional at all times. Have a flexible approach to work, good time keeping and have the ability to work under pressure.

The Orthotics administration team work well collaboratively and support each other. We welcome training and development opportunities and staff are encouraged to contribute ideas for departmental improvement.

**The main duties of the role include**:

- To book, amend, cancel and reschedule appointments, in consultation with allied health professionals, patients, relatives and carers
- To deal with frequent telephone enquiries, which often interrupt other tasks, in a polite and helpful way, forwarding calls to the correct extensions or taking accurate messages, ensuring they get passed
- To process referrals and other documents, and to input data into paper-based and electronic
