**Housekeeper**

**Staverton House Care Home**

**£10.50 per hour**

**Part-time - 10 Hours per week including weekends (9 am - 2 pm & 12 pm - 5 pm)**

We have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly housekeeping team at Staverton House.

**Principle/Main accountabilities and responsibilities**
- To clean the public rooms,corridors,stairs and bathrooms according to the rota
- To clean residents rooms and ensuites according to the rota
- To be aware of Health and Safety COSHH,moving and handling regulations at all times
- To attend fire drills and be aware of other emergency procedures
- To maintain cleaning stock levels and liase with other cleaning staff to replenish stock
- To report damages,breakages and any safety matters to the Line Manager and record them in the appopriate record book
- To report to the Manager any residents issues/problems that come to your attention
- To be aware of and deal with any cleaning issues that occur during your shift even if not on rota
- To generally maintain any cleaning equipment example Vacuum Sweeper. To ensure that all equipment is used and stored in a safe manner and kept in a clean condition
- Use of carpet shampooing machine according to rota and requested by housekeeper/manager
- To use all cleaning materials and equpment in accorsance with the manufacturers instructions and departmental procedures,storing safely when not in use
- Any other duties as requested by the Manager

**Working Environment**
- Generally based within the home but may occasionally be asked to go to another home within the group
- Working with people who might be confused,emotionally distressed or could display challending behaviour
- There will be exposure to bodily fluids as part of the day to day duties
- This position involves working with cleaning materials/chemicals
