**AJ Chambers** is partnering with one of the world's **leading international immigration firms**, who are seeking a **senior associate** with expertise in UK immigration law and a specific focus on private client matters. This is an excellent opportunity to work with such a high quality firm, with over **60 years of strategic immigration advisory experience**. You will be joining a truly global firm, where providing exceptional client service is at the core of day-to-day operations.

The private client team consists of **13 members** currently, and work with professionals around the world as part of a comprehensive worldwide private client practice.

**The Role**

Responsibilities include:

- leading initial fact-finding calls from prospective clients, and provide initial advice and fee quote with a view to capturing appropriate work
- ensuring the accurate and timely progression of matters of WIP through to completion including accurate post-approval compliance advice
- carrying out independent legal research as needed
- reviewing work prepared by paralgels/ assistants
- ensuring the prompt and accurate billing of matters on WIP
- alongside the billing teams, ensuring of the proper management of client monies on account, invoicing, and accounts receivable
- participating in business development initiatives with other team members, and in networking opportunities with intermediates
- being available for day-to-day contact with clients, ensuring prompt replies to their quotes
- alongside a manager, review billing outcomes and work to ensure workload is kept at an appropriate level

You will have the support of Senior Managers, as well as administrative support for your day-to-day caseload. In addition, you will have the opportunity to participate in business development activities and be involved in wider firm initiatives (including **government liaison** and **pro bono** work).

Other key responsibilities will include:

- Acting as a key point of contact on client accounts, providing legal and strategic advice, with senior associate/manager support as needed
- Managing and developing client relationships, with manager support as needed
- Legal research as required
- Maintaining a full caseload in an organise and efficient manner while adhering to deadlines
- Participation as required in client reviews; preparation of reports and meetings and involvement in presentations and training
- Leadership and training with junior colleagues
- Responsible for billing/WIP reports
