The Marketing & Communications team is also responsible for the marketing of brands within the Retail portfolio which includes marketing across e-commerce, retail, trade and events.

Our headquarters are in Perth, Scotland with employees and offices across Edinburgh, London and Germany.

**The Role**

The Senior Marketing and Communications Officer (MCO) - Strategy will report to the Head of Marketing and Communications - Content and Strategy.

The Senior MCO will work closely with the Head of Marketing and Communications - Content and Strategy across strategy, performance and insights. They will support on developing the strategy and plans and then feed this into overall marketing, promotion and content calendars, working closely and collaboratively with teams across the organisation.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Work with the Head of Marketing and Communications - Content and Strategy to create a joined-up view of our digital marketing performance, what's working, what's not and provide recommendations to optimise campaigns further.
- Leverage data, analytics and user insights to develop end-to-end content strategies for customer-centric digital experiences aligned to KPIs/OKRs.
- Manage accurate and consistent reporting for content marketing efforts through creation of dashboards and various automated reports across a variety of analytics tools, such as Google Marketing Platform and Meta Business Suite.
- Analyse and report the results (successes/failures/effectiveness/ROI) of content marketing campaigns, channel performance, new product launches and website improvements to the Head of Marketing and Communications - Content and Strategy.
- Support on the segmentation of customers and audiences to drive the roadmap and inform decisions across the content, editorial, lead management, client relationship etc.
- Utilise automation and personalisation tools within digital strategy and implementation, contributing to delivering frictionless, optimised customer experiences.
- Contribute to evaluating marketing technology stacks and explore how best to utilise existing tools and/or make recommendations for new technologies where appropriate.
- Monitor and review our data capture processes and journeys across all sources including all brand websites and touchpoints.
- Support on the creation and maintenance of market and competitor research then present findings to help shape the overall marketing strategy.
- Research and implement best practice, governance and GDPR compliance in relation to all data management and processing.
- Provide qualitative and quantitative analysis, insights and recommendations to the Head of Marketing and Communications - Content and Strategy to help support and influence future marketing campaign planning and new product/service development business cases.

**Person Specification**

We are looking for a committed, organised and forward-thinking senior marketing officer who has a data-driven mindset. This role requires a blend of strategic planning, analytical thinking, and marketing expertise to ensure we are setting impactful objectives and targeting our customers across brands in the most effective and efficient way with measurable impact. Fully integrated marketing experience is essential.

You will have experience in successfully contributing to the building and shaping of compelling brand strategies and architectures, with experience translating insights, ideas, and data into customer value.

A keen interest in the world of whisky, wine and rum, with a strong demonstrated desire to learn more about the industry is key.

This is a busy environment, so the ability to work independently, to tight timescales and to a consistent fashion is crucial. We rely on others across the organisation, along with a myriad of partners and agencies, so teamwork will be paramount.
