Operations Director - Manufacturing
**Main Responsibilities of the Operations Director
- **
- To assume responsibility for the safe operation of the site; stores, production, and dispatch to ensure production requirements are fully met on time to company standards.
- responsible for achieving the batched production quantities in line with business requirements. Key drivers for production include throughput, efficient use of materials and manpower.
- Responsible for ensuring production meets company quality standards and ensuring that quality procedures used by his team are current and up to date.
- Responsible for ensuring that all safety standards for employees are maintained and adhered to in accordance with company rules and quality procedures. Compliance must be ensured by line managers monitoring all staff closely and any breaches of health andsafety procedures acted upon immediately.
- As the Operations Director through his line managers and the HS must ensure that all employees are trained to safely carryout the tasks to which they are assigned.
- The Operations Director chairs the company Safety Committee
- Responsible for the stores activities on site working with the Stores Manager, making sure that Stocks are optimised to prevent stock-outs of parts and control the value held.
- As the operations director, you would be responsible for a multiple number of teams including Quality, Transport and Stores teams.
**Experience and Skills required
- Must be used to following company procedures, H&S in depth and holding stakeholder meetings
- Have previous experience within manufacturing people management, including holding appraisals, disciplinaries, implementing training courses and procedures for the operational teams.
