**DevOps Lead - Defence**

**Location**: Corsham (Minimum 3 days onsite per week)

**Rate**: £700 outside IR35

**Duration**: 10 Months

**Security Clearance**: Individual must hold or be eligible for a minimum of SC clearance

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Support the full development life cycle of a delivering systems, from specification to implementation and test and acceptance
- Support all and mentor the more junior team members in engineering processes and good practice
- Develop and maintain the standards and processes to support the platform development and assurance activities
- Support defining and managing dependencies on third parties (such as the supplier of the VMWare based IaaS upon which the service will depend)

**Required experience**:

- Full engineering life cycle experience
- Team leadership experience under an Agile methodology (we use SAFE supported with Jira)
- Experience working in non internet-connected environments, and overcoming the challenges that this creates
- Experience with automation and orchestration tools and defining supporting processes
- Producing documentation, as well as reviewing and supporting team members documentation to achieve a high standard
- Supporting the traceability of requirements through design and test to support assurance of the platform
- Experience working on secure government systems, ideally for the MOD and achieving compliance with key standards (e.g. JSP604)
- Experience transitioning services from development to live
- Experience of multiple of the following technologies: MS Server
- Active Directory, MS SQL, MS SCOM, MS MECM, Red Had Identiy Manager, Key Cloak, Citrix, Ansible, GOCD, GitLab, Nexus, BitWarden/Hasicorp Vault
