Finance Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a busy Finance team working for an exciting company based in Woking.
**Responsibilities**:
- Establish and maintain UK Accounting Process Manual, ensuring full ownership and accountability by the Financial Accountants in the process
- To maintain ledgers for UK companies by preparing weekly and month end accounting adjustments to ensure accurate information is reported in the accounting system
- Production of the monthly UK P&Ls and balance sheet; including managing the balance sheet reconciliation process
- Submission of monthly accounts, for both venues and legal entities to Group
- Draft the UK statutory financial statements and assist in the investigation and completion of audit requirements
- Assist in the production of monthly reports for management in respect of the P&L by providing clear and articulate variance analysis
- To provide ad hoc support to the business partnering team
- Assist in identifying operational and technical problems and to make suggestions regarding amendments to working practices and policies
- Management and delivery of month end closing activities to agreed deadlines
- Review of monthly results with UK Finance team and Business Partners
- Provide support and mentoring to GL team and wider UK Finance team
- Ensure that financial controls and processes are developed, documented and maintained
- Identify financial control and process improvements, and implement changes to strengthen the control environment and increase the efficiency of the team
- Adopt a continuous improvement mindset, by continuously evaluating opportunities for enhancement of systems, controls and processes
**Requirements**:
- A professional accountancy qualification (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with 2+ years relevant post qualification financial accounting experience in a commercial organisation
- Strong background in financial reporting and IFRS
- Advanced Excel and IT skills, with experience of Navision and Cognos Controller preferable
- The ability to work well under pressure and a proven ability to manage and meet conflicting deadlines
