London, United Kingdom CDP Global Full time

Are you seeking to join the global effort to transform both the environment and the economy? Are you looking for a role that combines your extensive professional experience working in or closely with financial institutions with a sustainability-led, innovative mission? CDP is where business leaders, financiers, and policymakers turn for innovative, systemic solutions.

This is a new, impact-oriented role within CDP’s Capital Markets & Environmental Data Sales team, providing a platform for financial institutions, data houses and other actors as they engage with businesses on their sustainability journeys. You will collaborate across the global organization, exploring how to engage strategically across the financial system and finance the real economy’s shift to a net-zero, nature-positive economy. Ultimately, your work will prioritize climate and nature-related considerations at the core of business and financial decision-making.

**About CDP**:CDP is a global non-profit that pioneered environmental disclosure in 2003, and today operates the world’s only integrated environmental disclosure system, now covering climate change across a broad range of nature themes including deforestation, water security, biodiversity and plastics. You will be joining one of the world’s most influential environmental organizations, as our disclosure platform is a touchstone tracking the environmental performance of more than 23,000 companies with over 66% of global market capitalization, supported by our signatory investors and banks who collectively represents over US$140 trillion of assets under management. Added to this set of constituents are 1,000 cities, states, and regions, making CDP’s disclosure platform one of the world’s most comprehensive sources of data and insights. You will be part of a vibrant workplace that welcomes diverse perspectives, talents, and contributions, where innovation and impact are a way of life.

**About the team**:This new role resides within CDP’s Capital Markets & Environmental Data Sales team in our Commercial Department. You will collaborate with colleagues from across the globe to help shape and lead various operational and strategic projects so that we can optimise existing approaches and pursue innovative concepts. As we focus on the future, we seek a dynamic individual to join our team and support CDP’s expansion across global planetary boundaries concerning the financial sector.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Working as trusted advisor to the Director of Capital Markets and Environmental Data Sales on a range of key strategic projects that require dedicated leadership and delivery. These will range from longer term strategic priorities identified internally to responses to inbound opportunities that are presented by third parties.
- Acting as a critical conduit between the Director and the Capital Markets and Environmental Data Sales team, analysing opportunities and challenges to ensure that the most urgent and important strategic issues are rapidly escalated and unlocked.
- Building strong, senior relationships with critical external stakeholders within financial institutions and other relevant stakeholder bodies in order to deputize for the Director as needed
- Representing the Capital Markets team at a range of external events including speaking events such as conferences and committee meetings on specific external initiatives.
- Representing Capital Markets & Environmental Data Sales internally in a senior capacity by maintaining an open dialogue with other key commercial, impact and functional teams, identifying opportunities for collaboration and support and attending steercos/working groups as needed.
- Monitoring performance across the Capital Markets team in collaboration with our Sales Strategy & Planning team and providing updates, check-ins and recommendations for further enhancing our service offering and impact

**Required skills and experience**:

- At least 10 years of professional experience working closely in or with financial institutions in the environmental sustainability and or data space
- A highly strategic mindset able to balance both impact and commercial based considerations.
- Demonstrable experience in managing projects.
- An understanding of the corporate reporting landscape and the role and responsibility of financial institutions regarding climate and nature-related issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with team members from different technical and cultural backgrounds.
- Clear, concise and compelling communicator
- Agility to prioritise in a fast-moving environment and execute at pace
