Campervan Fitter

Job description

Hillside Leisure are the UK’s leading manufacturer of VW & MAN TGE campervans and are looking for a skilled and competent Campervan Fitter to join our dedicated production team. Our business is always growing, and with a boom in the staycation industry, there’s never been a better time to join our team. All of our vehicles built on-site are approved to the highest of safety standards and regularly reviewed to ensure they meet the set requirements set out by the VCA and NCC. Previous experience in a similar role, such as within the building trade/shop fitters would be highly desirable as this role requires a good all-round knowledge of DIY, joinery as well as confidence using a variety of tools and working independently when required however training can be provided to the right person.

Regular duties may include but not limited to:

- Assembling kits
- Fitting seats bed units
- Fitting pre-assembled kits.
- Cutting & fitting sheet materials.
- Cutting & fitting vinyl flooring.
- Re-fitting vehicle trim panels.
- Fitting vehicle lining fabric.
- Fitting side windows.
- Have experience in joinery/bench joinery.
- Have relevant qualifications (not essential for the right person)
- Have relevant NCC Training (not essential for the right person)
- Able to use a Router and other hand tools.
- Able to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Able to adapt and work well under pressure.

This is a permanent, full time role and flexibility will be required during our busier times of the year. The salary is negotiable
