**Further Information**:
Peterborough Sensory and Physical Support Service are seeking a part-time British Sign Language Tutor to work as part of the specialist teaching service with families, schools, early years settings, special schools, hubs for deaf children and colleges to build their capacity to meet the needs of learners who are deaf aged 0-25.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated professional who is committed
to working in partnership with our stakeholders and who seeks to improve the outcomes
for all our children and young people who are deaf and their families.

The role of BSL Tutor requires excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, the
ability to work independently and the ability to contribute to the wider team within the
Service. Being well organised is essential.

Peterborough Sensory and Physical Support Service is a small team of specialists who
work within the wider Special Educational Needs and Inclusion Service within
Peterborough City Council.

We will consider suitably experienced applicants. You will be an outstanding practitioner who has a passion for SEND and developing the language and communication skills of deaf children and young people, their families and those who support them.

The Service provides a mentor for all new members of staff and for those in training.

Due to the nature of this role you must be able to travel independently to meet the
requirements of the post.
