Campaign Volunteer

Power for People is a not-for-profit organisation, campaigning for the UK to transition to 100% clean energy as fast as possible, and for local communities to benefit from this transition. We do this by campaigning for changes in law.
We are looking for a volunteer to help with our campaign to help boost to community-scale renewable energy across the country. Thousands of people across the UK support our public campaign, as well as over a thousand local organisations and councils, Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth, the National Trust and more.
We are particularly keen to hear from you if you have good research and social media skills. We hope you can help with our current strategic priority of spreading the word of our commuinty energy campaign far and wide, encouraging people to sign up and lobby their MPs to support our proposals.
We have an exciting few months coming up as we build towards the election. We are loking for someone who is enthusiastic, and has good communication skills and a genuine commitment to helping stop climate change. We strongly encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply.
Volunteering with us provides great campaigning experience. We are a small team and are always happy to help develop skills and understanding. Our office is in Camden and it's a friendly place. We are all back in the office at least three days a week now, but there is no obligation to come into the office if you do not feel comfortable doing so.
We want to help our volunteers develop their skills and learn about campaigning. You will not be doing lots of dull photocopying.
Volunteer roles are for 1 or 2 days per week for a period of 2 months, with the possibility for extension, although we are happy to discuss particular circumstances with potential volunteers.
