Wood is recruiting for Graduate Renewable Energy Consultant to join our Analysis Team within our Renewables Consultancy Centre of Excellence based in Glasgow.

**The Role**

Wood is deeply committed to the development of their people and recognises the importance of growing a talented team of professionals with expertise in renewable energy to ensure the future success of the organisation and the energy sector that we support.

At the end of the graduate scheme, you will be expected to progress to Renewable Energy Consultant, with a specialisation in power performance testing and wind data analysis.

Within our Renewables consultancy business, we service a varied client base worldwide, including world class private developers (major and independent), investment banks, utilities & power generation companies, pension funds, Technology Innovation and Research Centres - to name but a few. We provide value add services bespoke to the clients' requirements across; advisory services, technical specialists, project management, owners engineering through all the phases of the project lifecycle. Our specialisms across the renewables sector include; onshore and offshore wind, green hydrogen, solar, grid, storage and infrastructure. Skills / Qualifications:
**Expected**:

- Degree in a highly numerate discipline (e.g. engineering, physics, mathematics, meteorology)
- Software/programming skills, Python language in particular.
- Experience of processing/analysing large datasets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Effective listening skills to understand the requirements of the business.
- The ability to produce high quality reports to predefined deadlines.
- High level of problem solving ability and initiative.
- Attention to detail, reliability and good organisational skills.
- The right to work in the UK.

**Desirable**:

- Post-graduate or Masters qualification in a highly numerate discipline (e.g. renewable energy, sustainability, meteorology).
- Previous experience either voluntary or work placement within a renewable energy / energy environment.
- Programming capability, particularly in Python language
- Exposure/familiarity with SCADA data processing.
