**Salary: Grade 4, £23,500 - £24,702 per annum. £12.18 - £12.80 per hour**

**37 hours per week**

**Your role**:
As a Craft Gardener you will play a key role in delivering a high standard grounds maintenance service across the borough. You will support the Team Leader with the effective delivery of day to day grounds and general horticultural maintenance operation. You will assist the Team Leader in work planning and will cover this role in their absence.

You will provide exceptional customer service, be adept at dealing with a range of customers, and be the ‘eyes and ears’ of the Council when working in the borough. You will lead by example and motivate others to work to collective goals and actively seek ways to improve the service, suggesting new ways of working and embracing change.

**About you**:
You will have knowledge and experience in an operational grounds maintenance/parks organisation or similar environment, with the ability to operate a full range of plant and machinery relevant to the role. You will have an amenity horticulture, greenkeeping, groundsman or arboricultural qualification such as City and Guilds 3 or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. Herbicide Application qualification - PA1, PA2 & PA6AW. A relevant Health & Safety qualification
