Skip Lorry Driver

Duties:

- Drive company vehicles to load an unload skips for commercial and domestic clients.
- Load and unload skips, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays
- Inspect vehicles before and after each trip, reporting any mechanical issues or damages
- Communicate with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues that may arise
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding transportation, safety, and customer service

Qualifications:

- Previous skip experience essential
- Valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record and an up to date Driver's CPC
- Proven experience as a truck driver or van driver preferred
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and best practices
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, customers, and supervisors
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading of skips.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temp to perm

Pay: £14.00-£17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 45 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
