**Salary**: £11.50 (includes holiday pay) per billable hour + travel allowance

Merchandiser

20-30 hours per month

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Merchandiser to join our GEM team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a dynamic, fast paced, and innovative business where we always put our customers and suppliers first.

Who Are We?

GEM is a National business providing on-going support for many DIY and Horticultural suppliers across the whole of the UK and Ireland, visiting DIY stores and Garden center's carrying out range reviews, POS placement and inventory management on a regular basis.

The Role

Representing leading Brands and building strong partnerships with existing customers.
- Working with the Suppliers and Retail teams to ensure that customer experience is always exceptional, maximising sales and Brand presence.
- Planning and working to an effective journey plan.

A typical day in your role will involve:

- Merchandising, tidying, cleaning, checking inventory accuracy, placing POS and setting up displays
- Covering your allocated area and maximising your number of calls across key accounts to maximise productivity

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

- Has a full clean driving license and access to a vehicle
- Great communicator, who has an eye for detail and wants to deliver “Best in Class”
- Highly motivated and can provide exceptional customer service across numerous locations
- Previous merchandising experience is essential

Skills required

Able to demonstrate an in depth understanding of the customers & retailer’s merchandising requirements and adapt to their operational and organisational needs and to use this to develop relationships, and create new solutions and best practice

Detailed knowledge of store procedures, equipment, merchandising standards operational and retailer’s systems

Have a clear understanding of Customer call sheets & briefs

Able to manage time effectively in the face of conflicting priorities and timescales

Capable of delivering excellent forward planning and organisational skills.
