Are you looking for a role supporting a child with complex needs? Our six-year-old client who lives at home with her parents and younger sibling enjoys cuddles, playing with sensory and switch toys and days out with her family. **The Role/Client**:

- A lives at home with her parents and younger sister who is four years old. A has complex needs including cerebral palsy, dystonia, epilepsy and visual impairment. She is non-verbal and uses facial expressions, eye pointing and vocalization to communicate. A is a wheelchair user who requires support for all activities of daily living. She is PEG fed and this is also used as a route for the administration of medication. You may assist in the preparation of meals for A and assist with feeding.
- The role will involve supporting A with her personal care, washing and dressing, facilitating play and assisting in her rehabilitation therapy as well as some light housework.
- You will receive full training in all aspects of our client’s care and be fully supported by her Case Manager.

**About You**:

- You will have a minimum of 1 year’s complex care experience working with children with complex needs which you may have gained in a Carer or Support Worker role or as a Teaching or Learning Support Assistant in a school or through personal experience.
- It is essential that you are a driver able to drive our client’s automatic wheelchair-adapted vehicle and during term time you will take her to and pick her up from school.
- You will be a swimmer as you will accompany A to her aquatic therapy sessions and will be required to get into the pool with her and her physiotherapist.
- You will provide a supportive, engaging and child-centred approach to our client by following her care plan and helping her achieve her developmental and rehabilitation goals.
- You will be kind, positive, reliable, and able to build a relationship of trust with our client and family.

**Pay**:

- £16 per hour on weekdays
- £18 per hour Weekends
- £24 Bank Holidays (weekdays) £27 Bank Holidays (weekends)

**Hours / Shifts available**:
35 hours per week, shift pattern as follows:
**Term time**:

- Mon, Tues & Thurs - 07:00 to 10:00 (3 hours) and 14:00 to 18:00 (4 hours)
- Weds - 07:00 to 12:00 (5 hours) and 14:00 to 17:00 (3 hours)
- Fri - 08:00 to 11:00 (3 hours) and 14:00 to 17:00 (3 hours)

**School holidays**:
Mon - Fri - 08:30 to 15:30 (7 hours per day)
