It/epos Engineer

Your future employer is offering an exciting opportunity for an IT Engineer to join their growing team, carrying out delivery and management of EPOS equipment in high-end businesses throughout the UK and Europe The role is partially field based, with sometime spent on their site, exploring new innovative technology solutions and the exciting designs of this expanding, forward-thinking business.
The expected duties for the successful engineer are as follows:

- Delivering/managing EPOS solutions to a range of businesses
- Providing technical support to customers and employees
- Monitor and optimise system performance and troubleshoot technical issues
- Planning and implementing new IT solutions (including software/hardware upgrades)
- Testing/debugging new solutions
- Documenting and updating IT procedures and process
- Implementing security measures and monitoring for breaches
- Pre-live user and management training for EPOS and accompanying systems
Skills and experience required:

- Minimum 3 years experience in IT administration or similar
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Good understanding of networking protocols and technologies
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Experience with ITIL or other IT service management framework is a plus
- Experience with virtualisation technologies
- Attention to detail
- Full and clean UK drivers license
