Community Golf Liaison

**Key Activities & Responsibilities**
To work closely with PGA Coaches and Director of Golf to introduce young people to golf, from all backgrounds, creating golfing opportunities. To work with a variety of national and local partners such as Golf Foundation, Kent Golf Union, School Games Organisers, clubs, and schools to help more young people enjoy the playing and personal benefits of golf.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- A sound knowledge of sports development principles and practices is essential.
- Experience of sports development work with schools, communities, and other clubs.
- To plan, and deliver where appropriate, community outreach presentations and practical demonstrations and activities to potential students, local schools and partnerships both on and offsite as part of the community golf development programme
- To build a Junior Golf programme that encourages non-member junior members the opportunity to have golf lessons at London Golf Club.
- To host community outreach golf events at our partnership, Millwall Football Club.
- To work with closely with our local charities to help deliver golf activities in the community
- Host monthly junior golf open days at the golf club.
- Duties will extend to ensuring that risk assessments are undertaken ahead of community outreach activities taking place
**OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
- To ensure the regulations of the Health & Safety at Work Act are fully met, including COSHH and comply with standard employee Health & Safety at Work responsibilities.
- To participate in any relevant training for the duties of this post and to achieve the key objectives of London Golf Club
- To comply with London Golf Clubs Equal Opportunities policy.
- To be willing to undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade of the post.

**LANGUAGE SKILLS**
Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, committees, suppliers, members, and employees.
**COMPUTER SKILLS**
Working knowledge of various computer software programs.
**MATHEMATICAL SKILLS**
**REASONING ABILITY**
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardisation exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
**CERTIFICATES, LICENSES**
Driver's License. **DBS Check will be required for this position.**
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
