Job Title: Administrator
Reports to: Centre Manager
Aim of the Post: To provide effective administrative support to the organisation, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service to member’s and their carers. This role is to cover maternity leave, initially for a three month period with the possibility of extension.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To assist with developing and maintaining effective and efficient administration systems and procedures.
- To produce the organisation’s newsletter each quarter and circulate to all relevant stakeholders.
- To monitor and update staff training records.To rota plan, taking into account annual leave requests/training courses, and organise relief shift cover where necessary.
- To update social media pages weekly with Centre information.
- To organise framework for new service users joining the service and distribute exit survey’s appropriately following end of service.
- To prepare transport sheets for the daily operation of the service ensuring these are accurate.
- To prepare and distribute invoices to appropriate organisations and carers.
- To support the word processing needs of the management team.
- To effectively implement all NEDC’s policies, procedures and guidelines.
- To minute monthly staff team meetings.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
- Participate in support and supervision sessions with the centre manager, or designated line manager.
- Attend relevant training courses and in-service training.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Experience in an administrative/clerical role.
- Excellent and clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience of using Microsoft packages and good IT literacy skills.
- The ability to meet deadlines and manage a varied workload that involves liaising with a range of stakeholders.
- Flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of the organisation, often on a daily basis.
- The ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks in response to varying pressures and demands.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 3 months
**Salary**: £11.50-£12.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
