Contract duration: Until December 2024

Duties and responsibilities
- Contribute to professional development of humanitarian GBV prevention and response programmes across the organisation, and keep the organisation updated professionally on new trends and developments
- Provide in-country support to GBViE programmes, from supporting country strategy development, start-up of programmes, and capacity building
- Contribute to development of policies, research and learning activities within GBViE
- Contribute to integrated programming both within NCA’s thematic areas and ways of working; humanitarian response, advocacy, and long-term development
- Take the initiative in documenting lessons learned, best practices and case studies to shape in-country strategies and programme approaches and contribute to broader sector learning
- Work closely with the Monitoring & Evaluation team to put in place GBV sector M&E plans, ensuring this is linked to reporting requirements, and build the capacity of technical field staff in carrying out the work

**Qualifications**:

- Advanced degree in social work, social science, gender studies, humanitarian affairs, international development, or related field. Solid and relevant field experience can replace formal education
- Minimum five years of proven specialized experience in GBV prevention and response programming in conflict and post-conflict settings, with solid knowledge of international humanitarian standards for GBViE. Minimum 3 years of international experience
- Solid experience in training and capacity building, particularly using participatory approaches and methods for training related to different components of GBV programming
- Being able and willing to travel to low, medium and high-risk areas
- Experience in the use of office software packages (MS word, Excel, Teams etc), experience in handling of web-based management systems

- Fluency in English is required, Norwegian, French, and/or Arabic are an advantage/desirable
