Our client who are a brilliant firm of solicitors in London are keen to recruit an individual who will cover switchboard and reception.

This is a full time permanent position and office based.

**Primary duties**:

- Ensuring the smooth running of the office as well as being the first point of contact for clients and visitors
- Managing outgoing and incoming post and distribution to fee earners
- Use of the credit card machines for taking payments and reconciling amounts received
- Booking couriers and taxis
- Setting up and allocation of fobs and keys for the office
- Ensuring break out rooms are stocked
- Liaising with cleaning company
- Monitoring stationery and office supply levels and reordering when required
- Setting up of meeting rooms prior and in between all in house meetings
- Maintaining a training record and calendar for all in house training
- Updating and preparing of staff absence reports and updating court diary
- Updating and preparing staff rotas for new client enquiries
- Closing files on our accounts system and monitoring files for destruction
- Assisting with all aspects of staff and guest hospitality and maintaining a BD calendar
- Assisting the practice manager with the maintaining of office and building facilities
- Liaising with contractors
- Maintaining records and distribution of contents of the safe
- Training on first aid and fire warden duties
- Maintaining first aid kit and accident book
- Setting up of video conferencing
- Assisting the practice manager with fire safety checks
- Adhoc administration duties.

**Experience**:

- Having experience working in a law firm is essential.
- The successful receptionist will have a good standard of education and literacy, both verbal and written, good numeracy skills and be IT computer literate in MS Office, Word, Excel etc.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £30,000.00 per year
