The University of Reading offer staff in-house training, pensions, generous annual leave and employee assistance programs, as well a wide range of other support and benefits. The Counselling and Wellbeing team is a supportive team, both to students and to each other. We welcome growth ideas continually review our service to enhance what UoR delivers. Staff are offered, within the team, clinical CPD, part funded supervision, 1:1 support and multidisciplinary clinical meetings to enhance staff development. Our service is based at Whiteknights Campus, surrounded by green spaces, eateries, a gym and as a staff member you will also have full access to the library. The service is long established and is part of the wider Student Wellbeing Services, working closely with the Welfare team, Disability Advisory Service and Life Tools programme.

You will have:

- Excellent leadership & influencing skills.
- Excellent communication
- High levels of experience managing a service.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organisation skills.
- Qualification in Supervision
- Experience of supporting those with complex mental health conditions
- Safeguarding Experience.
- Experience of using a database, producing statistical analysis and reports.
- The ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines
- Ability to feed into department development ideas and arrange provisions accordingly.
- Experience of assessing clients and managing allocations of clinical clients.
