Exciting opportunity for a head chef to mobilise an new contract for Lexington catering.

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our team in a staff restaurant, serving breakfast and lunch, as well as freshly prepared vending items for evening service to a TV media company. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of 5 kitchen staff and delivering high-quality, delicious meals to our customers.

As Head Chef, you will be an integral part of our team and will oversee all aspects of the kitchen operations. To be successful in this role, you should have a passion for cooking and a proven track record of managing a busy kitchen. As the head chef, you'll have the exciting opportunity to design and execute a menu that celebrates the rich and diverse flavours of Persian cuisine, while incorporating elements from other culinary traditions.You should also be a great leader and have experience cooking a variety of world food.

Your key responsibilities as the Head Chef are to:

- Knowledge, Technical Knowledge, Expertise, Customer Service, Administrative and Result Oriented
- Maintain catering budgets and standards
- Establish and maintain health and safety and hygiene procedures
- Confident to be client facing when covering the GM absence
- Produce and present food to exceed expectations
- Monitor kitchen staff performance
- Conduct purchase, receiving, storage, and stock control
- Show financial management through correct costing, stock taking, and menu planning
- Recruit, train, coach, and manage kitchen staff
- Enhance skills and knowledge through training and development**

- Effective communicator; verbal and non-verbal
- Team worker and team builder
- Persuasiveness and flexibility
- Ensure effective team building to meet requirements
- Communicate with the team to ensure understanding

**Skills and Experience**

The experience and knowledge we are looking for from the future Head Chef include:

- Experience in producing a high volume, yet creative Persian cuisine and fresh, food offering.
- Up to date with current food trends and dining scene.
- Management skills - leadership, delegation, achievement orientated, motivated, staff development focus, analysis and problem solving, planning & organising, decisiveness & judgement.
- Ability to creative a motivated and fun working environment.

**Benefits**

As part of your package, we are offering a salary of** £38,000** per annum.

Due to the nature of the business and its opening hours, it is recommended that the option to use driving to work is an option as alternative transport. Not essential but desirable.
