**JOB TITLE: DRIVER AND VALETER**

**Location**: Lincoln & Sleaford (will be required to work at other branches in Lincolnshire)

**Accountable to**: Rental Manager

**Working hours are**:
Monday: 7:30am to 5pm

Tuesday: 8am to 5pm

Wednesday: 8am to 5pm

Thursday: 8am to 5pm

Friday: 8am to 5pm

Saturday: 8am to 11am alternate Saturdays
- Other hours may be available as and when needed._

**Job description**:
The role is key to preparation and delivery of our fleet of vehicles. You will work closely with our Rental Co-ordinators to ensure that vehicles are prepared to the highest standard for customers. This is a physically demanding role, with a large proportion of outdoor working in all seasons and weather.

You will be a crucial part of the team, ensuring that where needed we deliver or move fleet across the county and wider to facilitate an exceptional level of customer service and satisfaction.

The scope of this role will be varied, as an indication the following will be your primary work areas:

- Valeting the inside and outside of our fleet of vehicles, this from minibuses to Luton vans and everything in between. This will be to a meticulously high standard. The quality of this work will be quality assured to ensure standards are met.
- The checking of key levels on vehicles, such as Adblue, windscreen wash, oil, fuel etc to ensure that the vehicles are safe and ready to be hired by the customer.
- The checking of tyres, both for damage, pressure, and tread depth, to ensure that all of our vehicles are safe and road legal before being hired to a customer.
- Utilising our vehicle rental software to update the vehicle locations and preparation status - maintaining near perfect fleet accuracy
- The refilling and replenishment of all cleaning fluids at the end of each day, coupled with tidying and cleaning of the valeting work area.
- The driving/delivery/collection of vehicles between our four branches in Lincolnshire, with the potential to drive/deliver/collect from anywhere in the UK. Moving vehicles according to need as directed by our Rental Co-ordinators and Rental manager. Completing ‘walk rounds’ with the customers to ensure any damage is recorded prior to, or after a hire and then completing the associated documentation either electronically or in writing.
- Working as part of the wider Lincs Van hire team to ensure our level of service is exceptional.
- Working from any one of our branches as required to service need and demand.
- Other duties as and when required to assist the wider team.

**Requirements**:
**Qualification**
Full UK driving license - Essential

D1 Driving category - Essential

C1 Driving category - desirable

**Experience**
Working within a vehicle rental company - Desirable
Working in a customer focused area - Desirable
