This role is community based across London and surrounding areas.
This Independent Family Support Worker role will give you fantastic opportunities to work with caring and dedicated child protection professionals, supporting parents to improve their ability to care for their children safely at home.
We offer a range of services, from 1-hour welfare visits to 4- to 6-hour family support sessions, to 24/7 safeguarding observation in the family home.
Our Family Support Workers work with families who are experiencing challenges parenting their children at home and in the community. You will use your skills and experience to deliver safe baby care guidance to new parents and positive parenting programmes to parents of toddlers to teens.
Family Support Workers are required to provide factual, concise session reports about a parent's care of their children and family functioning.
You will work independently as well as a member of a team of Family Support Workers and social workers.
Our service provides family support to children and young people who are in crisis, on the edge of care, on the edge of gang involvement, or require reunification to their family.
