Waterfowl and Maintenance Warden
- Salary: _**SCPs 6-7 £8,908 to £9,071**_ _(Full Time Equivalent £21,968 to £22,369)_
- Location: _Dawlish - all areas of the Parish
- Responsible to: _The Town Clerk, and Senior Waterfowl & Maintenance Warden
- **Hours**:_**15 hours over three days, to include every other Saturday and Sunday.**

Job Purpose: To be responsible for the feeding, welfare and cleanliness of the waterfowl kept by the town council at Dawlish Water, and to carry out maintenance tasks throughout the Parish of Dawlish.

Functions and Responsibilities:
1 To ensure the welfare of the ornamental waterfowl kept at Dawlish Water.

2 To open, shut and remove weir gates to regulate water flow in the Brook.

3 To inspect and maintain parish footpaths which are the responsibility of the town council under the Parish Paths Partnership (P3 Scheme).

4 To maintain the play areas owned by the Town Council to a level set out in legislation.

5 To carry out maintenance tasks, repairs, and cleaning to council assets, gardens, and open spaces throughout the parish in accordance with the maintenance schedule.

6 To ensure that all machinery and equipment provided by the council is maintained and stored securely.

7 To assist in the promotion of work undertaken both around the parish and with the waterfowl using several means of communication

8 To carry out duties at a comparable level of responsibility as may be required and assigned from time to time at the discretion of the employers and to operate within the standing orders, financial regulations and any other corporate standards adopted by the council.
- Special Conditions of Service_

1 The use of a private motor vehicle is desirable (for which a casual user allowance will be paid).

2 To answer call-outs to deal with ornamental waterfowl and flooding emergencies out of hours (an additional payment will be made).

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 15 per week

**Salary**: £21,968.00-£22,369.00 per year
