**Position: CBP Operative**

**Salary: £9.90 per hour, increased outside of standard hours**

**Start Date: 1stApril 2023**
**Hours per week: Permanent, shift pattern of 2 days 06:00 to 18:00, 2 nights 18:00 to 06:00, 4 days off.**
**Location: Bridgend CF35 6NY**

**Job Purpose**
- Priority task is to effectively maintain areas of responsibility to an acceptable cleaning standard.
- To be proactive & reactive to the Health & Safety of the team and others on site.
- To deliver contractual obligations in accordance with client expectations.

**Accountabilities**
- Priority areas to focus cleaning activities on within 12 hr shift are below. These areas are to be cleaned in their entirety each week by working of a team to achieve and dividing the 12 hr shift within across these areas:

- CBP (Briquette Plant),
- L12 Charging Plant, C10/11 pit, C11 conveyor and walkway.
- L3 Charging Plant, alleyway behind Fines bay, ground floor and platform level, W2 conveyor and the conveyor to bucket up to the CO gate.
- Collaborate with Client leaders for ad hoc tasks or a change to the usual.
- On occasion there may be a requirement for you to assist in cleaning other areas on site.
- Using various equipment to complete tasks, such as industrial vacuums, DISAB, Forklift and MEWP.
- To be proactive of periphery areas of cleaning route that are MSS’ responsibility.
- Regular communication with Cleaning Coordinator to guarantee smooth operation.
- Take a pro-active stance with to Health and Safety.
- Schedule and prioritise workload and standards effectively.
- To assist in the training others in the role to continue the high standard of work.
- Partake in audits and any follow up actions if required.
- Confirm all equipment required is safe to use prior to task commencing.
- To example pride in the task.
- Communicate any service deficiencies, hazards or any non-compliance trends that are discovered.
- Understand guidelines set out in the MSS Group Company Handbook.

**Skills, Knowledge and Experience**
- Health & Safety awareness
- Experience within tasks required.
- Experience within a heavy industrial environment essential
- Effective communication skills
- Continuous improvement mind set.
