Volunteer Football Buddy

Kingswood, United Kingdom Milestones Trust Full time

**Volunteer Football Buddy**
- Milestones Trust is a health and social care charity supporting people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and dementia. The Trust provides residential, nursing and community support services to around 750 people living in the Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset areas._

An individual that we support in one of our homes in Kingswood is looking for someone who loves football and ideally supports Bristol Rovers to go to football matches with them. They are independent but need some support with travel, paying for the football tickets, finding a seat and reassurance in a big crowd. They would need someone to take them to the Memorial Stadium from their home, either by bus or car.

**Can you help?**

We are looking for volunteers who are compassionate and patient with good social skills and who share similar interests as the person we support. Ideally this would be a weekly or fortnightly volunteer role, or as often as volunteers are able to commit. We provide a thorough induction, further training if needed and we support volunteers throughout their role.

We can cover travel and some activity expenses. The ticket to the games will be free.

Please note, for all of our volunteer roles a DBS check will be carried out and references will be taken up. All volunteers have a volunteer induction before starting the role and will be supported by both the volunteer team and a member of staff in the service too.
